Ronald Jones II Praised By Bruce Arians
5 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones II, who had just 13 yards on five attempts in nine games in a dreadful rookie season, looked good in Week 1 with 13 carries for 75 yards (5.77 yards per carry). Jones shined in the preseason while looking faster, more athletic and more fluid with his hands. "I don’t know if [his hand] could’ve gotten any hotter unless he [would have] run through the last one and scored a couple times,” Head Coach Bruce Arians said of Jones’ performance on Sunday. Peyton Barber will get the start on Thursday against the Panthers, but Jones could see more work for a second straight week if he continues to look good. Jones has the most upside in this committee and is worth waiver wire consideration.
