Roman Josi Reaches 500 Career Points
3 years agoNashville Predators defenseman Roman Josi hit a big milestone in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to Seattle, registering 500 career points during a two-assist performance. His work helped Nashville to grab a 2-0 lead, but the team ended up throwing it away already in the second period. Josi became the fifth blue-liner from the 2008 draft class to get to 500 career points and no other draft in NHL history has produced as many defensemen with 500 points. He joined Erik Karlsson, Drew Doughty, John Carlson and Alex Pietrangelo. The Predators captain has tallied 55 points this season, and he's battling it out with Cale Makar and Adam Fox for the top-scoring defenseman honors.
