Rockies Acquire Justin Bruihl From Dodgers
1 year agoThe Colorado Rockies have acquired left-handed reliever Justin Bruihl from the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for cash considerations, according to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com. Bruihl, 26, has looked solid in his third MLB season, amassing a 4.01 FIP and 47.9 GB% through 24.1 innings out of the bullpen. The southpaw primarily pitches to soft contact, as evidenced by his high ground-ball rate and low K/9 (7.03), BB/9 (2.96), and HR/9 (0.74) clips. Bruihl presumably replaces Brad Hand on the Rockies' roster and is very controllable; he won't even be eligible for arbitration until after the 2025 season.
