Robinson Cano Wraps Up Rehab Assignment
5 years agoNew York Mets second baseman Robinson Cano (quadriceps) is done with his rehab assignment with Triple-A Syracuse and is testing out his quadriceps under the watch of team trainers at Citi Field on Saturday. He is eligible to come off the injured list on Sunday. Cano returned from the injured list last week, played in one game and then went right back on the shelf after aggravating his leg. He's hitting a disappointing .238/.284/.366 with three homers, 15 runs and 14 RBI in 172 at-bats and will have to rebound before those in mixed leagues give him another shot. His return could push J.D. Davis to the bench more often with Jeff McNeil seeing more time in the outfield.
