Robinson Cano Working At First And Third Base
6 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano has been working out at first and third base in the Dominican Republic. With Dee Gordon entrenched at second base, Cano will have to find playing time elsewhere when he returns from his 80-game suspension. He's eligible to return on Aug. 14. The most likely scenario would see Cano playing first base and splitting time with Ryon Healy. The 35-year-old was hitting .287 with four home runs and 23 RBI in 143 at-bats before he was suspended. His fantasy value won't be quite as high as it was to start the year, but he gain some value if he adds eligibility at another position for next season.
