5 years agoNew York Mets second baseman Robinson Cano (hamstring) is taking batting practice on Wednesday and is hoping to return to the team in September. It's been a disappointing and injury-filled season for Cano in his first year in New York. The veteran is batting a mediocre .252/.295/.415 with 10 home runs and 32 RBI in his 86 games played. Even if Cano returns next month, those in mixed leagues shouldn't be holding out any hope that he'll make a difference to close out the season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
