Robbie Grossman Goes Yard For His 10th Home Run
3 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Robbie Grossman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the team's 13-5 loss to the Cleveland Indians on Monday. The home run was his 10th of the year and he's now just one home run shy of his career-high, which came when he hit 11 home runs over 99 games with the Minnesota Twins back in 2016. Grossman has recently been hitting third in the lineup as Akil Baddoo has taken over as the team's primary leadoff man. If the change in the order sticks, Grossman will have fewer at-bats, but more RBI opportunities, which would be beneficial if he's able to keep providing some power. He's had a disappointing month of June, which has dropped his season-long slash line to .226/.334/.391.
