Rob Gronkowski Unlikely To Play Against Bears
6 years agoNew England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) is "highly unlikely" to play in Week 7 against the Bears after not traveling with the team to Chicago, according to a source. Players that don't travel with the team pretty much never play, so this is big news. Gronk owners need to find a replacement from a very poor lot of tight ends that are available on the waiver wire. With Gronk not expected to play, receivers Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan and Josh Gordon should see more work, as well as running back James White. Dwayne Allen should be the team's top pass-catching tight end if Gronkowski is out, but he'd only be a desperation TE2.
