Rob Gronkowski Not Close To Reworked Contract
6 years ago"Nothing is imminent" in regards to a new contract for New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. He is set to earn $8 million in 2018, but the Patriots gave him a $5.5 million incentive package last year, which he earned. He considered retirement after losing the Super Bowl, but he's back for at least another season and should remain the first tight end off the board as long as quarterback Tom Brady is still throwing him passes. Gronk has been the top-scoring fantasy tight end for three of the last four seasons, even while missing games here and there due to injuries.
