Ricky Rubio Continues Renaissance With Game-High 28 Points
3 years agoCleveland Cavaliers point guard Ricky Rubio was the top scorer in Monday's slow-burning 98-92 loss to Boston, shooting 9-for-20 from the field en route to 28 points. He nailed half of his eight attempts from deep and shot 6-for-7 at the foul line while tallying six rebounds and two assists in 37 minutes. Rubio has picked up extra minutes with Collin Sexton (knee) out, but the Spaniard was already demonstrated good form prior to Sexton's injury and the 31-year-old is on his way to having a very good bounce-back season. Rubio is averaging close to 15 points for the season with 3.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists. He's now starting a very tough run of games, which will really test his improved form. The Cavs face Brooklyn twice in their next three games, with a matchup against Golden State in between, and they also face the Suns.
