Richie Palacios Working To Regain Range Of Motion
4 months agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder/infielder Richie Palacios (knee) landed on the injured list on Aug. 2 with a right-knee sprain and was expected to miss four to six weeks, but manager Kevin Cash was optimistic that Palacios could return this season. Palacios is working to regain the range of motion in his knee before resuming workouts or baseball activities. "Tried to play through it, because I try to play through everything. Took a step and then didn't feel so good," Palacios said on Aug. 10. "I'm optimistic about everything. ... I know that whatever happens, whatever I'm in, I'm gonna figure it out." The 27-year-old's injury has opened up more playing time in the outfield for the likes of Dylan Carlson and Jonny DeLuca. Palacios has mostly been useful for his speed in fantasy in 2024, stealing a career-high 19 bases while hitting .233 (59-for-253) with five homers and 21 RBI in 88 games.
