Rich Hill Starts Throwing Program
5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Rich Hill (forearm), who has been on the injured list since June 20 with a left forearm strain, has started a throwing program and is feeling good, according to president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman. The Dodgers won't rush the veteran southpaw back, and they'd ideally like to have him available in a starting role for another long postseason run in October. When healthy, the 39-year-old lefty has been solid this year, going 4-1 with a 2.55 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 61 K's in 53 innings over 10 starts. However, with him most likely not being ready to return until late September, he won't be of much use in fantasy.
