6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder/first baseman Rhys Hoskins (shoulder) is still on track to be ready for Opening Day despite battling left shoulder soreness, according to manager Gabe Kapler. Hoskins took a round of batting practice and hit off a high-velocity machine in the cages on Sunday and said he "felt good." He's expected to play in Monday's spring finale against the Rays, which would put him on track for Opening Day on Thursday. Hoskins is one of the best young sluggers in baseball in a stacked Phillies lineup and has been coming off the board in the early rounds of fantasy drafts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
