Rhys Hoskins Battling Sore Shoulder
6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies first baseman/outfielder Rhys Hoskins is battling "mild" left shoulder soreness, but manager Gabe Kapler said there is no reason to worry. An MRI exam showed no structural damage and Hoskins is expected to play on Opening Day on March 28. In the even Hoskins ever needs rest or is injured, Kapler said third baseman Maikel Franco will shift across the diamond. Hoskins, 26, is a rising star in the big leagues after hitting .246/.354/.496 with 34 home runs and 96 RBI in 558 at-bats in 2018. Consider him a top-15 outfielder that will also gain first base eligibility this year.
