Reynaldo Lopez Leaves Start With Illness
5 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Reynaldo Lopez (flu) left his start early on Sunday against the Rangers after experiencing dehydration and flu-like symptoms. Thankfully for fantasy owners that rolled with him, Lopez allowed no hits in five scoreless innings while walking two and striking out six in the victory. It could've been a quality start as well, but Lopez's owners will take it nonetheless. The young right-hander is now 8-11 on the year with a 5.08 ERA and 8.15 K/9 in 152 1/3 innings over his 27 starts. Lopez has been much better in the second half with a 3.10 ERA and 8.4 K/9 in his eight starts. It remains to be seen if he'll be ready for his next start, but we'd expect him to be out there.
