5 years agoNew England Patriots running back Rex Burkhead might only be active in 2019 if the team carries five running backs on the active roster on game days. New England's backfield is crowded with Sony Michel, James White, third-rounder Damien Harris and Brandon Bolden ahead of Burkhead. Injuries will probably thin this group out eventually, but the 28-year-old Burkhead is on the outside looking in at this point in the offseason. He played in just eight games in 2018 and ran the ball 57 times for 186 yards (3.3 average) and no touchdowns while adding 14 receptions for 131 yards and a score through the air.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
