Reuben Foster Has Fifth-Year Option Declined
5 years agoThe Washington Redskins declined the fifth-year option on linebacker Reuben Foster, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. Foster was the 31st overall pick in the first round of the 49ers in 2017. He had 72 tackles (59 solo), seven tackles for loss and five QB hits in 10 starts his rookie season, but he has since been suspended for two games and tore his ACL in 2018, holding him out for the entire 2019 season. The 26-year-old will be playing the 2020 season looking for his next contract on the open market when he becomes a free agent in 2021.
