Redskins Plan For Timeshare With Derrius Guice, Adrian Peterson
6 years agoThe Washington Redskins plan to go into the 2019 season using a timeshare in the backfield including running backs Derrius Guice and Adrian Peterson. Peterson isn't getting any younger, but he managed to top 1,000 yards rushing last year and remains in great shape. However, the team selected Guice in the second round of last year's draft with the plan to make him the featured back. He missed all of his rookie season with a torn ACL suffered in the preseason. Washington plans to ease Guice back into action, which is where Peterson comes in handy. Chris Thompson and Samaje Perine are also in the mix, with Thompson being the main bet as a pass-catching back. Guice should eventually be the lead back for the 'Skins, but the presence of Peterson will hurt his fantasy upside in 2019.
