Redskins Decline Option On Josh Doctson
6 years agoThe Washington Redskins declined to pick up wide receiver Josh Doctson's fifth-year team option. Doctson has been a disappointment since being a first-round pick in 2016, and he has yet to see the breakout season that many have projected. The 26-year-old can become a free agent after the 2019 season. Doctson had 44 catches for 532 yards (both career highs) but caught just two touchdowns after having six in 2017. He also missed all but two games in his rookie season and has dealt with nagging injuries since. Doctson won't be a popular fantasy pick this year, especially with the team's quarterback situation being shaky.
