6 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays are working to sign Cuban free-agent 16-year-old pitcher Sandy Gaston, and some reports have an agreement pending on a $2.6 million deal. Nothing has been finalized yet. Gaston was the third most coveted international prospect behind Victor Victor Mesa and Victor Mesa Jr., who both agreed with the Marlins on Monday. Gaston has a lot of talent and is a hard thrower, but at such a young age he obviously needs a lot of development.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
