5 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays recalled first baseman Nathaniel Lowe from Triple-A Durham on Saturday and optioned reliever Adam Kolarek to Durham in a corresponding move. Lowe, the team's No. 8 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, has hit .257/.390/.424 with three home runs and 20 RBI in 40 games on the farm in 2018 and has the skills to hit for average and power in the major leagues over time. The 23-year-old had nine hits in his first 38 major league plate appearances earlier this year and should see decent playing time as long as he's up in Tampa for this go-around. He's worth re-adding in deeper mixed leagues and AL-only formats. Lowe is starting at first base and batting fifth on Saturday against Twins starter Kyle Gibson.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
