Rashaad Penny Could Start Season On PUP List
5 years agoSeattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider implied that running back Rashaad Penny (knee) will start the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list while he recovers from a torn ACL last year. Penny's injury is typically a nine- to 10-month injury, and he suffered it on Dec. 8. Schneider said "he's doing great but it was a late-season injury." Seattle drafted DeeJay Dallas in this year's draft, and he would compete with Travis Homer for No. 2 duties behind Chris Carson if Penny isn't ready. The Seahawks remain optimistic about Penny, though, and he posted a video on Twitter on Wednesday of him doing footwork drills in his rehab. The 24-year-old was starting to come on as a change-of-pace to Carson last year before his injury, but his uncertain status for the start of 2020 will really hurt his value in deep PPR leagues.
