Rangers Won't Give Adrian Beltre Away For Free
6 years agoTexas Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said the team must be motivated to deal third baseman Adrian Beltre at the trade deadline. “I hope I’ve been clear with Adrian, and we’ve communicated with other teams. We’re going to have to be motivated to even have the conversation because, one, the player he’s been and is and his value to the organization is above how you typically view it. We view him as separate than most typical trade conversations," Daniels said. While Beltre has only played in 65 games at the break due to injuries, the veteran continues to produce when on the field, hitting .286 with fur home runs and 26 RBI. He's still fantasy relevant in mixed leagues, and a trade out of Texas might help his numbers. Beltre will be a free agent after the season.
