Rangers Still Without A Loss This Postseason
1 year agoThe Texas Rangers have certainly gotten hot at the right time in October and have so far gone a perfect 7-0 in the postseason after beating the Houston Astros in Game 2 of the American League Championship Series on Monday to take a two games to none lead in the best-of seven series. Only the 2014 Kansas City Royals have won more consecutive postseason games (eight). Manager Bruce Bochy led the Rangers to their first playoff appearance in seven years in his first season with the team in 2023. Bochy already has four National League pennants and three World Series rings as a manager for the San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants. The Rangers have excelled this year mostly with a prolific offense, but their starting and relief pitching has stepped up at the right time and has been lights-out so far in October. They'll have future Hall of Famer Max Scherzer (shoulder) on the mound for Game 3 of the ALCS on Wednesday in Texas.
