Rangers Land Nathan Eovaldi On Two-Year Deal
2 years agoThe Texas Rangers signed right-hander Nathan Eovaldi to a two-year, $34 million deal on Tuesday. The 32-year-old can earn up to $63 million in three years if every condition is met. This is another effort by the Rangers to bolster their rotation, which now stands as one of the deepest and most talented in the major leagues. Eovaldi is entering his 12th year in the pros and is certainly a key addition to the Texas organization. He spent the last five years in Boston and posted a 3.87 ERA across 109 1/3 innings in 2022. He missed out on some quality starts due to a couple of injury setbacks, but he is projected to serve as a front-line starter in Texas if he can stay healthy.
