6 years agoThe Texas Rangers are considering parting ways with manager Jeff Banister at the end of the season even though he is under contract for 2019, according to multiple sources. However, no final decision has been made as the Rangers look to rebuild. Texas will finish with a losing record for the second straight season, but team officials are wondering if Banister is the right man for a long-term fix. Some players have described communication issues with Banister as well. Banister helped the team win division titles in 2015 and 2016 and was named as the American League manager of the Year in 2015 in his rookie season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
