5 years agoThe Los Angeles Rams released running back Todd Gurley II on Thursday before the $10.5 million became fully guaranteed on his contract, according to a source. The Rams had been trying to trade Gurley, but his huge contract was too much for other teams to take on. He has gone from being the no-doubt No. 1 pick in fantasy drafts to having chronic knee issues and becoming a committee back in the last season. Wherever he lands in free agency, he's unlikely to suddenly become a bell-cow back again, so Gurley's fantasy ceiling moving forward will likely be as an RB2. Back in LA, Malcolm Brown and Darrell Henderson top the depth chart, but the Rams will likely address the position in the draft.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
