Ramon Laureano Scratched With Groin Tightness
2 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano (groin) was scratched from Tuesday's Cactus League lineup with left groin tightness, according to the team. It doesn't sound as though Laureano's injury is very serious, but we'll keep a close eye on him this week. The 28-year-old will remain an outfield regular for the A's in 2023, giving him appeal in deeper mixed leagues for his power/speed combination. He played in only 94 games in 2022 due to a suspension and a late-season injury, slashing .287/.376/.663 with a career-low .663 OPS, 13 home runs, 34 RBI, 49 runs scored and 11 stolen bases. He's just outside of RotoBaller's top 50 fantasy outfielders, mainly because he's only played over 100 games once in his five MLB seasons. Laureano will also reside in one of the league's weakest offenses.
