Raiders Ship Amari Cooper To Dallas, Land First-Rounder
6 years agoThe Oakland Raiders sent wide receiver Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday in exchange for a first-round pick, according to a source. At 1-5 coming off their bye, the Raiders are in full-on rebuild mode in head coach Jon Gruden's first season. They now have compiled three first-round picks in 2019 after also trading All-Pro defensive end Khalil Mack before the start of the season. Safety Karl Joseph, a former first-round pick, is also available via trade before the Oct. 30 deadline. Cooper started his career with two 1,000-yard seasons but has been wildly inconsistent since. The change of scenery could do him good, but he'll initially remain a boom-or-bust WR3 that has to learn a new offense. In Oakland, Jordy Nelson, Martavis Bryant and Seth Roberts will see higher fantasy ceilings, as well as tight end Jared Cook.
