Raiders Optimistic About Antonio Brown
5 years agoOakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden is optimistic that wide receiver Antonio Brown (feet) will practice with the team before the team breaks camp on Monday. Brown ran routes and caught passes from quarterback Derek Carr during pregame warmups before the preseason contest against the Cardinals on Thursday. Brown injured his feet in a cryotherapy mishap in France last month, but he should be fine for the start of the regular season. The 31-year-old wideout creates plenty of waves off the field, but he's also reached 1,000 yards receiving six straight seasons and in seven of his nine years in the league. That was in Pittsburgh, though, and most are skeptical that he'll reach those heights with Carr as his QB. Right now, Brown is being valued as a low-end WR1 in his first year in Oakland.
