Raheem Mostert Puts On Muscle
5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert said that he has put on more muscle this offseason and thinks it's necessary in order to shoulder a 200-carry workload in 2020. Mostert, 28, became the team's lead back in the second half of last season and during the Super Bowl run in the postseason. He tallied 137 carries for 772 yards (5.6 yards per carry) and eight touchdowns, but he had only 14 receptions on 22 targets in 16 games (zero starts) in the regular season. His rise in 2019 will inflate his fantasy price, and even though the Niners traded Matt Breida, San Fran's backfield is still plenty crowded, especially if Jerick McKinnon can finally get on the field. Don't let Mostert's strong end to 2019 inflate his cost as anything more than an RB3/flex most weeks.
