Raheem Mostert Dealing With Back Injury
3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert (back) reportedly left practice early on Wednesday due to apparent back pain. Mostert winced as he reached the sideline and then watched the remaining plays from a knee after being checked on by trainers. It's too early to say if this injury is serious enough to threaten Mostert's status for Week 1, but it's definitely worth keeping an eye on. Rookie Trey Sermon returned from a knee injury on Wednesday, and the already attractive young running back would have clear RB2 upside in his first season in the NFL if the oft-injured Mostert were to miss any time with an injury this year. As of Thursday, Sermon's ADP sits at 90.4 overall, but his draft value is likely to rise during weekend drafts if Mostert's injury keeps him sidelined.
