Pump The Breaks On Raheem Mostert
6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that running back Raheem Mostert over Alfred Morris isn't a permanent situation. Mostert worked out better on Monday night against the Packers and ran extremely well. Morris shockingly played zero snaps in the loss, while Mostert combined with Matt Breida in the backfield and ran for 87 yards on 12 carries (7.3 yards per carry). This puts a halt to Mostert's case as a waiver wire addition, although he looked much better on Monday night than Morris has looked all year. The only thing you can really count on in this backfield is that Breida will remain a strong RB3/flex option if he can stay healthy.
