Phillies Acquire Aaron Loup
6 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies acquired relief pitcher Aaron Loup from the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday in exchange for pitcher Jacob Waguespack, according to a source. Loup is mainly a lefty specialist and holds a 4.54 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and career-high 10.6 K/9 in 35 2/3 innings this year. He has no fantasy value. Waguespack is a right-hander that has gone 4-6 with a 4.68 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 79 strikeouts in 21 games (15 starts) at Double-A Reading and Triple-A Lehigh Valley this year.
