Pete Carroll Lands Contract Extension
6 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks signed head coach Pete Carroll to a contract extension that runs through the 2021 season on Monday. Seattle secured their seventh playoff berth in nine seasons with Carroll at the helm by beating the Chiefs in Week 16. Carroll is the NFL's oldest head coach at 67 years old. The Seahawks have gone 88-54-1 in the regular season and 9-5 in the playoffs under Carroll, including the franchise's first Super Bowl championship after the 2013 season. Quarterback Russell Wilson is quietly having one of his best seasons behind an improved offensive line that has allowed this club to become run-first. They'll be a dangerous team on the road in the NFC playoffs.
