5 years agoWith the New England Patriots only having quarterbacks Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer on the roster, the question is not "if" the Patriots select a quarterback in this year's draft, but "when." There could be a scenario where either Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa or Oregon's Justin Herbert slide far enough into the first round that the Patriots consider trading up from pick No. 23 to select one of them. ESPN's Matt Bowen, who liked Stidham as a fit for New England before last week's draft, thinks Washington's Jacob Eason might be a good fit for the Pats in the draft this year. The Patriots like Stidham under center, but they'll surely draft another signal-caller this year as insurance, possibly even in the late first round.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
