6 years agoThe New England Patriots signed free-agent tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins to an undisclosed one-year deal on Wednesday, according to a source. ASF has had off-field issues throughout his career and has also been set back by injuries, but the Pats decided to take a flier on him after Rob Gronkowski hung up his cleats in the offseason. Seferian-Jenkins had just 11 catches for 90 yards and a touchdown in five games due to injury in his lone season with Jacksonville. He'll have a chance to carve out a role in New England as their top pass catcher, but he'll need to stay on track and stay healthy.
