5 years agoThe New England Patriots love Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert, according to a rival general manager, but it's unknown if they love him enough to give up draft capital to trade up and select him in the first round. New England is equipped to do so if they wanted to -- they have 12 picks, which is second-most in the draft, but only one of those picks comes in the top 85. If head coach Bill Belichick wants Herbert, they'd likely have to be willing to give up their 2021 first-round pick in addition to a handful of other selections. New England also likes Jarrett Stidham, who is currently on roster, and giving up a ton of picks just isn't Belichick's style. But Herbert has good size and great arm strength and would definitely be an intriguing franchise QB under Belichick's tutelage.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
