Patrick Patterson Provides Big Bench Boost
6 years agoOklahoma City Thunder power forward Patrick Patterson reminded everybody that he's still an NBA player on Sunday, logging a very good 30 minutes off the bench with 17 points and four rebounds against the Suns. He shot 6-for-10 from the field and 2-for-5 from downtown for his highest scoring output since Dec. 3, 2016. Steven Adams (left calf) was out, so there were frontcourt minutes to be eaten up and both Patterson and Nerlens Noel ended up enjoying the extra burn. Patterson had logged less than 20 minutes in all previous four outings this season, so he's not a guy you want to have on your team, but his fantasy value will be bumped up a bit if Adams misses time and he could be useful as a short-term pickup.
