5 years agoThe Carolina Panthers are showing strong interest in New Orleans Saints impending free-agent quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, according to sources. Talks between the two sides have been going well. This comes after the team gave Cam Newton permission to seek a trade. It's looking like Carolina just isn't sold on Newton's health after he missed 14 games with a foot injury in 2019 and two games the previous season with shoulder issues. If the Panthers move on from Newton, Bridgewater might be the perfect fit for an offense that runs through running back Christian McCaffrey. He won't be a surefire QB1 if he becomes a starter again, but Bridgewater could have low-end QB1 upside piloting the Panthers offense.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
