2 years agoCarolina Panthers kicker Zane Gonzalez has been released by the organization. This is odd timing considering the Panthers recently said they were going to stick with Gonzalez. Now, they've re-signed kicker Eddy Pineiro to a two-year deal and parted ways with Gonzalez. The 27-year-old missed all of last season due to a groin issue. Gonzalez has five years of experience under his belt, so he should be able to find another opportunity. However, his career 80.5 field goal percentage doesn't scream reliable kicker. Gonzalez should get a chance with another organization to at least prove himself in camp.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
