5 years agoNone of the Carolina Panthers backup quarterbacks stood out in Friday's preseason action against the Bills. Quarterback Kyle Allen went 4-for-11 for 32 yards. Rookie Will Grier went 10-for-19 for 75 yards but also had several overthrown balls, missed targets and threw an interception that was returned for a score. Taylor Heinicke finished 8-for-12 for 78 yards and led a touchdown drive. The job behind Cam Newton remains wide open as the team evaluates their options.
