16 hours agoSeattle Seahawks kicker Jason Myers will look to improve his scoring output in Week 9 when the Seahawks host the Los Angeles Rams. Myers has been accurate when given the chance in 2024. However, the Seahawks offense has been too inconsistent for Myers to provide reliable fantasy output. The Seahawks should be able to move the ball against an average-at-best Rams defense in Week 9. The question is will they be able to finish drives without turning the ball over? The offense could not get out of its own way in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills. Various penalties and mental errors cost the team several scoring opportunities. If they can eliminate those errors in Week 9 then Myers will be worth starting in fantasy. Still, there are likely more reliable options out there if you need to pivot.Source: RotoBaller
16 hours agoThe Seattle Seahawks D/ST got off to a hot start in 2024. They have had a much harder time over the last few weeks against tougher opponents. The Los Angeles Rams offense is now fully healthy and is coming off a game in which they scored 30 points against an excellent Minnesota Vikings defense. The Seahawks are battling too many injuries on the defensive side of the ball to provide the same challenge as the Vikings. The Rams have a good chance to score more than 30 points once again. The Seahawks should be able to get to Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford in the backfield and force a turnover or two. However, that should be offset by the amount of yards and points the Rams project to score. The road does not get any easier for this unit anytime soon. Unless head coach Mike Macdonald can coax more production from his defense then they should be on waivers for the next several weeks.Source: Brady Henderson
16 hours agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba had a great opportunity to have a great game in Week 8 when DK Metcalf (knee) missed the game due to an MCL sprain. The Seahawks offense delivered a total dud as it appeared that they needed Metcalf in order to function at the high level they have all season. The Los Angeles Rams present a much softer matchup in Week 9 than the Buffalo Bills did in Week 8. The Bills defense has been stifling opposing passing offenses all season but the Rams just got shredded by Sam Darnold and the Minnesota Vikings in Week 8. With Metcalf out again in Week 9, Smith-Njigba should be able to find room to operate in this game. The Rams offense is back to performing at a high-level, and the Seahawks will likely continue their pass-heavy attack. Look for Smith-Njigba to deliver high-end WR3 numbers with the potential for more upside.Source: RotoBaller
16 hours agoSeattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III has provided a solid baseline to fantasy managers with his passing game work in 2024. When the Seahawks have a lead, Walker can deliver great rushing output. When the Seahawks trail, it is a different story. Walker has caught four or more passes in four of six games played this season. The Seahawks offense has been bipolar in 2024 so it is difficult to predict how they will perform on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams are the No. 19 defense against opposing running backs in fantasy, so this matchup is not scary. Neither team's defense has played with any consistency. Now that the Rams have a full complement of weapons, this could be a track meet. Look for the Seahawks to try and establish a presence in the running game. If they can ensure that this game remains tight, then Walker should be in good shape to provide a solid rushing and receiving baseline in Week 9.Source: RotoBaller
17 hours agoGreen Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. Jacobs sat out during Wednesday's practice but was upgraded to a limited participant during Thursday and Friday. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status throughout the weekend. Jacobs is coming off his best performance of the season as he tallied 127 yards off 25 carries and found the end zone twice. If Jacobs is unable to suit up, fantasy managers should expect Emanuel Wilson to see the majority of carries. Wilson would only be viewed as a low-end flex option as the Lions have allowed the second-fewest PPR points to opposing RBs this season.Source: Tom Pelissero
17 hours agoNew England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans. The former third-overall pick suffered a concussion last week in their victory over the New York Jets. Maye has been a limited participant during practice all week and still has a chance to pass through the league's concussion protocol in time for Sunday's tilt. If he is unable to suit up, veteran Jacoby Brissett would get the starting nod. In relief last weekend, the 31-year-old went 15-for-24 with 132 yards and 11 rushing yards. He has averaged 138.0 passing yards per game this season and should be viewed as a low-end QB2 if he gets the start.Source: Doug Kyed

17 hours agoTennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard (foot) and wide receiver Tyler Boyd (shoulder) are both listed as questionable for Week 9. Pollard has been unable to participate in any practices this week but the team is leaving the door open for him to play this weekend. Boyd has also been sidelined all week but could also be available. The Titans will already be without Tyjae Spears (hamstring) which could open the door for Julius Chestnut to operate as the lead back if Pollard cannot play. If Boyd is unable to play, fantasy managers should expect Calvin Ridley to see a heavy target share with Nick Westbrook-Ikhine serving as the No.2 option.Source: Jim Wyatt
17 hours agoTennessee Titans running back Tyjae Spears (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 9's contest against the New England Patriots. Spears opened the week as a limited participant but was then downgraded to a non-participant on Thursday and Friday. Spears will now miss his third-straight game and will set his sights on returning next weekend to face the Los Angeles Chargers. Through the first-half of the campaign, Spears has been deployed as the clear No.2 option behind Tony Pollard. However, Pollard (foot) is listed as questionable and could also be in danger of missing Sunday's game. If he is unable to suit up, fantasy managers should expect Julius Chestnut to serve as the lead option.Source: Jim Wyatt
17 hours agoTennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley (shoulder) is off the injury report and is expected to suit up on Sunday when the Titans face the New England Patriots. Ridley did not practice on Wednesday but was upgraded to full participation on Thursday. He sat out during Friday's practice for a non-injury reason. Ridley is coming off the best game of his season where he brought in ten of his 15 targets for 143 yards. Fantasy managers should expect the 29-year-old to see a heavy dose of targets once again with DeAndre Hopkins now in Kansas City. This weekend he should be viewed as a high-end WR3 facing the New England Patriots who have allowed the 19th-most PPR points to opposing wideouts this season.Source: Jim Wyatt
17 hours agoThe Cleveland Browns defense will take on the Los Angeles Chargers at home in Week 9. Cleveland's defense looked inspired in an upset win over the Baltimore Ravens last week, holding their division rivals to 24 points. The Chargers have been a tough matchup for defenses this season, allowing just the 22nd-most fantasy points per game to the position. Cleveland has several key players banged up as Denzel Ward (concussion) is questionable and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (neck) is already ruled out. Treat the Browns as a mid-range fantasy option heading into the weekend.Source: ClevelandBrowns.com
17 hours agoSeattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (groin) will not play in Week 9 according to Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic. Fant opened the week as a limited participant but was then downgraded to a non-participant on Thursday. This will be the first game of the 2024 campaign the 26-year-old sits out of. Since Week 3, Fant has caught at least three passes in all but one game and averaged 8.3 PPR points during this span. With DK Metcalf (knee) also not suiting up, fantasy managers should expect Tyler Lockett, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Jake Bobo to lead an undermanned Seattle passing attack against the Los Angeles Rams.Source: Michael-Shawn Dugar
17 hours agoCleveland Browns kicker Dustin Hopkins made all three of his field goals in an upset win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8. The veteran kicker will look to keep it going at home against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 9. The Chargers have been tough on kickers in fantasy this season, allowing the second-fewest fantasy points per game to the position. Hopkins has a better outlook for fantasy with Jameis Winston under center but he is outside the top-20 options at the position heading into Week 9.Source: NFL.com
17 hours agoWashington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game against the New York Giants according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network. The Alabama product has been a limited participant all week with a hamstring injury. The 25-year-old was also dealing with a knee injury and had to sit out during Week 6. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status throughout the weekend as Robinson may be a game-time decision leading up to their divisional battle against the Giants. Robinson has scored double-digit PPR points in all but one game this season and has found the end zone six times in seven games. If he is unable to suit up, Austin Ekeler should be expected to see the majority of work with Jeremy McNichols serving as a change-of-pace option.Source: Tom Pelissero
