Chimaev managed to take Whittaker down early in the first round and eventually secured a face crank that reportedly left Whittaker with a dislocated jaw. In 3:34 of action, Chimaev landed two takedowns and three significant strikes. Chimaev moved to 14-0 with eight knockouts, six submissions and just two decisions. 3 weeks agoRobert Whittaker suffered a first-round submission loss to Khamzat Chimaev in the co-main event of UFC 308 on Saturday. Whittaker was taken down early by Chimaev, who then applied a face crank and forced Whittaker to tap out. Though the submission wasn't fully locked in, the force was enough to dislocate Whittaker's jaw. In 3:34 of action, Whittaker only managed to land two significant strikes. With the loss, Whittaker is 26-8 as a pro and is now 17-6 in the UFC as he had his two-fight winning streak snapped.Source: UFC
3 weeks agoAleksandar Rakic suffered a unanimous decision loss to Magomed Ankalaev on the main card of UFC 308 on Saturday., Before the loss to Ankalaev, Rakic lost to former UFC titleholder Jiri Prochazka via TKO at UFC 300. Rakic and Ankalaev had a competitive fight, but after three rounds, all three judges scored the fight 29-28 in favor of Ankalaev. In 15 minutes of action, Rakic landed 53 significant strikes. 3 weeks agoArmen Petrosyan suffered a second-round knockout loss to Shara Magomedov on Saturday's main card opener of UFC 308. Eight seconds before the end of the second round, Magomedov threw a back fist that Petrosyan was able to block. Then Magomedov surprised Petrosyan by throwing another back fist, knocking him out. In 9:52 of action, Petrosyan landed 77 significant strikes. With the loss, Petrosyan is now 3-3 in the UFC. This is Petrosyan's second loss in a row.Source: UFC

Near the end of the second round, Magomedov threw a spinning back fist that Petrosyan managed to block but then threw another back fist as he turned back around and knocked Petrosyan out cold. 3 weeks agoDan Ige suffered a decision loss to Lerone Murphy on the main card of UFC 308. The Hawaiian had a strong first round, dropping Murphy and nearly finishing him. But, in the second round, he appeared to tire out as he was badly outstruck and taken down. In the final round, Ige got Murphy down and controlled him for 2:34 but he didn't do much. Once they got back to their feet, Murphy landed the better shots to win the final round and the decision. With the loss, Ige is now 18-9 as a pro and 10-8 in the UFC.Source: UFC
