1 week agoChicago Bulls guard Josh Giddey (illness) is available ahead of Wednesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. As expected, Giddey will suit up for this game after being considering as probable with a minor illness. He'll resume his role in the starting five and should see a higher usage with Zach LaVine (groin) sidelined once again. He finished with 15 points and seven assists through 30 minutes of action during Monday's game. Giddey should be rostered in most fantasy formats and managers can get him in there as active on Wednesday.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report

1 week agoChicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine (groin) has been ruled out ahead of Wednesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. LaVine will miss his second straight game due to a lingering groin issue. Ayo Dosunmu has been filling in for LaVine in the starting five. He finished with 25 points, five rebounds, and five assists during 35 minutes of playing time on Monday. Dosunmu should be a strong streaming option until LaVine is able to get back on the court. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups accordingly ahead of tip-off.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Mark Followill

1 week agoDallas Mavericks center Dereck Lively II (shoulder) has been ruled out ahead of Wednesday's game against the Chicago Bulls. Lively will now miss his second game in a row due to a right shoulder sprain. The expectation is that Daniel Gafford should see a boost in playing time with Lively unable to play. Gafford only played 15 minutes during Monday's game. That being said, Dwight Powell might end up seeing more time than Gafford, but neither player is an ideal streaming option for Wednesday's game.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: K.C. Johnson

1 week agoLos Angeles Lakers guards D'Angelo Russell (hip) and Austin Reaves (ankle) are both available ahead of Wednesday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. As expected, both players will suit up for this game after being listed as probable. The Lakers are missing some key pieces on offense, so Russell and Reaves should be asked to do more heavy lifting on offense. Both players should see significant boosts in fantasy value ahead of Wednesday's game.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Ryan Ward

1 week agoNew Orleans Pelicans guards Jose Alvarado (ankle) and Jordan Hawkins (back) are both available ahead of Wednesday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Both players were considered questionable coming into this one, but it appears they're feeling good enough to give it a go. Hawkins is back after a one-game absence due to lower back tightness. Hawkins has stepped into a bigger role for the Pelicans lately. He's averaging 21.7 points and 3.7 rebounds across the last three games. He's worth a look as a streaming choice right now. Alvarado scored 18 points during his last game, but Hawkins is the better streaming choice between the two.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: New Orleans Pelicans

1 week agoNew Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (thigh) is available ahead of Wednesday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The big man is back in the starting five after missing the last two games due to right thigh soreness. This is great news for the banged up Pelicans roster right now. The return of Williamson should shift Jeremiah Robinson-Earl back to the bench. It's unlikely that Robinson-Earl is going to have viable streaming value with Williamson back in the mix. Fantasy managers can get Williamson back in their lineups on Wednesday.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Marc J. Spears

1 week agoLos Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis (foot) won't play on Wednesday versus Memphis. He's been dealing with a foot injury since the summer. Unfortunately, he re-injured it in Monday's loss to the Detroit Pistons. AD was on the floor taking shots before the game. However, fantasy managers are now left wondering if this is the start of a lengthy absence. With Rui Hachimura (illness) also out, Dalton Knecht, Christian Koloko, and Jaxson Hayes warrant streaming attention.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Marc Stein

1 week agoGolden State Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski (illness) won't play in Wednesday's meeting with the Celtics. He was listed on the injury report as available on Tuesday. Yet, the illness that forced him to exit Monday's matchup with the Wizards will keep him off the floor against the defending champs. Fortunately, Stephen Curry (ankle) is back in the lineup. At the same time, Buddy Hield, coming off a 20-point, five-rebound, two-steal effort, remains a viable starting fantasy option.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Anthony Slater

1 week agoCleveland Cavaliers guard Caris LeVert (knee) will return for Wednesday's contest against the Pelicans. The 30-year-old missed the Cavs' previous two games because of right knee soreness, opening the door for more minutes for Isaac Okoro and Sam Merrill. While Okoro should continue to start with Dean Wade (illness) and Max Strus (ankle) sidelined, LeVert's presence could lower his ceiling. Merrill, who had 12 points, five boards, and two steals in 27 minutes on Monday versus the Bucks, is still worth streaming in deeper fantasy formats.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Serena Winters

1 week agoCharlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (ankle) won't play on Wednesday versus the Detroit Pistons. The 23-year-old is battling ankle soreness. However, after testing things during pre-game warmups, he'll suit up against a Detroit team that has won two-straight games. Ball, averaging a career-high 28.6 points with 5.7 assists, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.4 steals, remains a must-start despite the chance of re-injury.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Will Palaszczuk

1 week agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Shaedon Sharpe (shoulder) is questionable for Thursday's matchup with the San Antonio Spurs. The 21-year-old has been sidelined with a labral tear and was expected to be out for 4-6 weeks. While it appears he could be nearing a return, there's still a chance that won't happen on Thursday night. But even if Sharpe is in uniform, he'll likely see reduced minutes while he works his way back. With that in mind, his potential absence should mean more minutes for guys like Scoot Henderson, Toumani Camara, and Rayan Rupert.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Sean Highkin

1 week agoAtlanta Hawks forward David Roddy (illness) will play on Wednesday versus the Knicks. He was dealing with an illness, resulting in a questionable designation. However, the 23-year-old will be out there. With De'Andre Hunter (knee) still out, Roddy, who had 11 points, six boards, and three assists in Monday's loss to the Boston Celtics, should warrant streaming consideration.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Atlanta Hawks

1 week agoAtlanta Hawks forward De'Andre Hunter (knee) won't play on Wednesday against the Knicks. The 26-year-old will now miss a seventh consecutive contest because of a knee injury, so his next chance to get back on the floor will be on Friday in Detroit. Without Hunter, Zaccharie Risacher, averaging 10.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.2 steals, has streaming potential in deep redraft setups. On the other hand, his 20.0% shooting from deep hasn't been welcomed by category managers. David Roddy (illness), who had 11 points, six boards, and three assists in Monday's meeting with the Celtics, also has a place in most fantasy lineups.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Atlanta Hawks

1 week agoAccording to Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla, forward Jaylen Brown (hip) is considered "day-to-day." He's dealing with a hip flexor strain and will miss his third consecutive contest when the C's play the Warriors on Wednesday. Without question, Brown has been a top fantasy producer this season, averaging 25.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.5 steals. Although he's shot a rough 26.7% from behind the arc, category managers hope to get him back on the floor, possibly as early as Friday's matchup with the Brooklyn Nets. In the meantime, Neemias Queta, coming off a 10-point, seven-rebound, one-block outing versus the Hawks on Monday night, has streaming potential.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Tim Bontemps

1 week agoAtlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (rib) will play on Wednesday versus the Knicks. The 26-year-old was limited to only 23 minutes because of a rib injury in Monday's loss to the Boston Celtics. But he's good to go for the meeting with New York. Young has averaged 23.9 points, 11.0 assists, and 1.3 steals this season. Yet, he's logged 4.9 turnovers and shot 30.7% from behind the arc. Still, Young remains a top fantasy option, especially since his shooting woes should come to an end at some point.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Atlanta Hawks

D/ST Strength of Schedule Analysis - Fantasy Football Defense/Special Teams Matchups (2024)

The tight-end position has never been easy to navigate. This year was supposed to be where tight ends returned to glory, with a deep group of players ready to take the position to new heights.
