2 months agoBrendan Allen suffered a unanimous decision loss to Nassourdine Imavov in the co-main event of UFC Paris. After three rounds, all three judges scored the fight 29-28 in favor of Imavov. In his last bout, Allen defeated Chris Curtis via split decision. Before this fight, Allen was on a tear winning seven fights in a row and was looking to force his way into the top 5. 2 months agoNassourdine Imavov improved to 15-4 with a unanimous decision win over Brendan Allen in the co-main event of UFC Paris on Saturday. It wasn't the most exciting performance, but Imavov got the job done. Before this bout, Imavov was on a two-fight win streak with victories over Jared Cannonier and Roman Dolidze respectively. In 15 minutes of action, Imavov landed 57 significant strikes, compared to Allen who landed 30. All three judges declared Imavov the winner in rounds two and three for a unanimous 29-28 score. It appeared that Brito was in control of the fight and would edge out a decision, but the judges saw it differently as they scored the fight 29-28, 28-29, and 29-28 in favor of Gomis. Gomis appeared to be on the backfoot except for his occasional counterattacks, while Brito came out aggressively, dominating the early rounds. After three rounds of action, the judges scored the fight 29-28, 28-29, and 29-28 in favor of Gomis, who improved his record to 13-3. Gomis is now on a 12-fight win streak. Miranda had his moments in this fight, hanging with Charriere and even threatening with a submission near the end of the round. Charriere came out more aggressively in the second round, and just 27 seconds in, Charriere landed a left hook that knocked out Miranda. 2 months agoMorgan Charriere secured a decisive victory against Gabriel Miranda at UFC Paris, marking a comeback after his previous loss. Charriere got back in the win column after scoring a second-round knockout victory. He landed a big left hook on Miranda, dropping him, and after Miranda fell, Charriere pounced on him, forcing the referee to stop the fight almost immediately. 2 months agoMatt Frevola suffered a third-round knockout win over Fares Ziam in the main card opener of UFC Paris. Frevola tried to wrestle Ziam early, but the Frenchman had success defending it. He outlanded Frevola 24-to-12 in the first round and 37-to-12 in the second round. The Frenchman had Frevola hurt on multiple occasions, and in the third round, he landed a huge knee that knocked Frevola out cold. It was Frevola's second straight KO loss as the American is now 5-5-1 in the UFC and could be fighting for his job next time out.Source: UFC
2 months agoFares Ziam scored a highlight-reel third-round knockout win over Matt Frevola in the main card opener of UFC Paris. Ziam had success early on as he had Frevola hurt in the first round as he outlanded him 24-to-12. Ziam continued his dominance in the second round outstriking Frevola 37-to-12. In the third round, Ziam was clinched up against Frevola when he threw a massive knee that put Frevola out cold. It was a stunning KO as it was Ziam's first finish in the UFC. With the win, Ziam improved to 6-2 in the UFC and is on a four-fight winning streak. Ziam should get a ranked opponent next.Source: UFC
2 months agoKevin Jousset suffered a second-round TKO loss to Bryan Battle on the main card of UFC Paris. Jousset had success in the first round as he landed the more significant strikes in the opening five minutes. However, in the second round, Battle began to find his range as Jousset slowed down. After getting hurt, Battle swarmed Jousset and landed several significant strikes forcing the ref to stop the fight. 2 months agoBryan Battle scored a second-round TKO win over Kevin Jousset on the main card of UFC Paris. Battle was outstruck in the first round but he had over two minutes of control time. However, in the second round, Battle took over as he started to land his jab and find his range. Battle landed a nice combination that hurt Jousset and he swarmed him landing more shots forcing the ref to stop the fight. With the win, Battle improved to 11-2 and one NC as a pro and is now 6-1 and one NC in the UFC. Battle should get a ranked opponent next time out.Source: UFC

Saint-Denis was dominated in the first round, as he was taken down and controlled for nearly the entire round. Saint-Denis was outstruck 50-to-25 as the Brazilian landed heavy ground-and-pound to bust up Saint-Denis' face. The Frenchman's eye was nearly shut, and although he had success in the second round, the doctor stopped the fight after the second round. With the loss, Saint-Denis fell to 5-3 in the UFC and is now on a two-fight losing streak. Saint-Denis could fight someone unranked next time out.Source: UFC
2 months agoRenato Moicano scored a second-round doctor stoppage win over Benoit Saint-Denis in the main event of UFC Paris on Saturday. Moicano entered the bout as the underdog but the Brazilian dominated the opening round. He took Saint-Denis down right away and controlled him for 4:37 of the five-minute round. The Brazilian landed heavy ground-and-pound that busted up Saint-Denis' face. His eye was nearly shut due to all the damage. In the second round, Moicano was outstruck and couldn't get Saint-Denis down, but the swelling of the eye got worse and the doctor stopped the fight. With the win, Moicano is now 20-5-1 as a pro and 12-5 in the UFC. Moicano should get a top-five opponent next time out.Source: UFC
