Padres To Call Up Luis Urias Tuesday
6 years agoThe San Diego Padres will recall second base prospect Luis Urias from Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday. The team's No. 4 prospect hit .429/.490/.670 over his final 23 games in the minors and will make his big league debut on Tuesday. He's expected to play every day to close out the year and is also expected to play some shortstop with Freddy Galvis moving to second. While Urias is a pure hitter, he also struck out once every 4.9 plate appearances. He was named the starting second baseman for the All-Pacific Coast League on Monday. Urias is ranked as the No. 22 prospect in all of baseball and should now be owned in all leagues.
