6 years agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman/first baseman Pablo Sandoval (hamstring) will have season-ending surgery to fix a hamstring tear. The Panda hadn't really done much for the fantasy owners this year but was a useful utility guy for the Gigantes, hitting .248 with nine home runs and 40 RBI in 230 at-bats. With Brandon Belt still out with a knee injury, it's unclear who will take over at first base until he comes off the disabled list. Perhaps Buster Posey will play more first base with Nick Hundley taking over the catching duties.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
