5 years agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval is the designated hitter and will bat fifth on Friday against Orioles starting pitcher Andrew Cashner. Sandoval has actually been one of San Fran's better stories this year, as the 32-year-old veteran is hitting .288/.321/.596 with seven home runs, 15 runs, 18 RBI and a steal in 104 at-bats. The switch-hitter has always been more dangerous from the left side against righties, too, and he's hitting .313 (25-for-80) with all seven of his homers and 16 RBI against right-handers in 2019.
