Offense To Be Paired Down For Sam Bradford
6 years agoThe Arizona Cardinals have decided to simplify their playbook heading into Week 3 against the Bears as a way to get more production from quarterback Sam Bradford and the rest of the offense. Through two weeks, the Cardinals have one touchdown. Bradford was 17-for-27 with just 90 yards in the Week 2 34-loss to the Rams. He has completed just 37 of 61 passes for 243 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in two games. "I think the thought is just allow everyone to go out there and play faster, simplify everything a little bit and hopefully it shows up in the speed in which we play," head coach Steve Wilks said. The Cardinals plan to use running back David Johnson more as a receiver, which should help. But Bradford just hasn't looked good and will remain a low-end QB2 for fantasy owners. We're likely to see rookie Josh Rosen under center before long if the offense's struggles continue. A matchup with Chicago and pass rusher Khalil Mack will be tough.
